I sometimes think I have no idea of what I’ve done or where the time has gone, but many years ago I wanted to paint — yet I didn’t paint. Instead, I studied advanced mathematics and calculus. By happenstance, I received a job offer that I accepted; it was my big break. I joined an ad agency and realized that art direction was my forte. During the last thirty-five years, | have worked for more than 500 alluring international brands, and enjoyed time at Prestige Grey, IAL Saatchi & Saatchi, and other well-reputed agencies. Then I founded my own creative hot shop the Creative Workshop. I also directed TV commercials in Pakistan and abroad, and once again loved to paint, did some sculpting, and also some conceptual writing. Then, in 2013, a sudden stroke changed my life completely.

As I finished autobiography I got stuck collecting all my poetry work. And I have mentioned this interesting story on one of the pages in my autobiography that I have an old icebox. It contains hundreds of my verses all unedited first drafts long awaited of my attention. I still don’t know why I concealed them way back; perhaps not to let the embers of my emotions flare up.

Another good thing happened end of last year when surely I accepted my right hand would never perform as before while the perfectly healthy left refuses to even scrawl my name right. Imagine my awe as I discovered my left hand can do wonders as I use it finally to paint. Although it needs immense of patient but tons of pleasure I receive in return.

Whatever time has embarked on us is the real truth. Life changes without our permission. We have to adjust accordingly without whining, that’s the fun.
